Oblong Face Shape
YOU HAVE AN OBLONG FACE SHAPE IF:
- Your face is definitely longer than wide (more than a third)
- Your forehead, cheekbones and jawline are the same width
- Your hairline is rounded
- Your jaw line is softly rounded
Your face looks very long and sometimes thin so you need styles that will add width to your face and create balance. Styles that are short to medium in length with longer top layers without height are best, some examples are wedge and graduated bob cuts. Chin and shoulder lengths work very well to add width. Also straight across bangs with side parts will work well. Layered styles with wavy and curly textures are great for softening the straight long lines of oblong face shapes. If you are considering a long hair cut make sure that the style you chose has volume otherwise your face may look even longer. Try to avoid long hair styles as this will make your face look too long and unbalanced.
